Gifty's All-New X-Com Soundtrack!
After 100+ hours of OpenXcom, I began seeing the game in my sleep; likewise, a full backup of the soundtrack had been made permanently in my head. Thinking how nice it would be to hear something new (you can only tolerate GMINTER so many times), I decided to write a full soundtrack replacement (sans-intro music). I am proud to say that it's finished and ready for your gorgon stare!

The new music, constructed exclusively with old Amiga samples loaded into a modern DAW, was modeled after the tracker-based soundtracks of the 90s; Jazz Jackrabbit, Crusader: No Remorse, Unreal, etc. I had initially tried to write an X-Com soundtrack with modern synthesizers (which I may yet do), but found this tracker style to be much easier and more fitting for such an old game.
Below are some leftover tracks from the project; a couple of outtakes and extended cuts, which you can listen to or stick in your game if you please!
